Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long of a project is setting up electrical for new construction?

In residential we usually can get a price back within a week if we have an electrical plan. Without a plan we provide budget numbers only with a similar time frame. In commercial it takes 2-3 weeks to put together pricing but depends on the size of the project. Larger usually takes longer. We can make exceptions for projects that are urgent.

  • Do I need to be on site while you are working?

In residential we typically need owner or a representative to answer some questions usually a few hour site visit. Depending on how detailed the electrical plan is. We would prefer not to have owner on site when we are working. In commercial depending on how detailed the plan is we usually can get questions answered via email.

  • When should I replace my electrical equipment instead of repairing it?

Each piece of equipment is different. We recommend having an electrician looking at it if it’s in question. Some of the older electrical panels can be unsafe.

  • Are you licensed?

We are licensed by the state and any jurisdiction we work in.

  • Do I need a permit for any electrical work?

Depends on the type of project and the jurisdiction. Typically if replacing equipment with same equipment no permit is required.

  • Where do I acquire a permit if I need one?

Permits in some jurisdictions are acquired at a state level. Some of the cities require a permit acquired at the city level. If permit required at city level than typically no state permit is required.

  • How do you estimate the cost of a project?

We use past experience to estimate labor cost and current material pricing to determine pricing.

  • What is the best way to contact you during the job?

We can be reached by phone call, text message or email.
